FORT MCMURRAY, Alta. – The Truro rink skipped by Mary Myketyn-Driscoll lost 8-2 to British Columbia late Wednesday at the Canadian junior women’s curling championship.

The loss dropped Myketyn-Driscoll to 3-5, leaving the team tied for sixth in the eight-team championship pool with New Brunswick.

It was the Truro foursome’s second game in the championship pool after finishing 3-3 in the round-robin on Tuesday.

The Nova Scotia champions, who also consist of third Taylor Clarke, second Mackenzie Proctor and lead Sarah Sears, meet the Yukon (5-3) today at 4 p.m.

They complete championship pool action on Friday against New Brunswick.

The championship pool winner advances directly to Sundays final. The next two teams advance to the semifinal, also on Sunday.
