Bearcats double Commandos in junior hockey

TRURO - The Truro Bearcats doubled the Dieppe Commandos 6-3 in Maritime Junior Hockey League play here Saturday night in front of 652 fans.

Kyle Morrison scored two in the first period for the Bearcats. The Commandos score late in the first, breaking the Bearcats' lead in half.

David Mosher was the lone scorer in the second, giving Truro a 3-1 lead.

Philip Fife scored the game-winning goal early in the third, with Grant West and Cal Gloade each picking up a goal in the win.

Shayne Campbell stopped 22 shots in the win, which improves the Bearcats' record to 26-6-0-4.

The Bearcats host teh Amherst Rambers tonight at 7 p.m.
