Meech blazing down the track at Ivy league indoor meets

TRURO – Truro’s Jennifer Meech earned a silver medal recently at the Ivy League indoor track and field meet at Yale University in New Haven, Ct.

Meech, an 18-year-old freshman at Dartmouth College in Hanover, NH., ran the 400m event in 57.29 after finishing second a week earlier in the same event at the Dartmouth Relays.

Meech was nipped by just 0.53 seconds by Yale sophomore Emily Cable at the line.

Meech, a star athlete for both the Cobequid Cougars and Truro Lions last year, was also third in the 200m at the Dartmouth Relays and helped her Big Green squad to a win in the 4x400m team event.
