WOLFVILLE - Truro's Peter Burgess rink is heading to the provincial men's curling tankard.

Burgess and his teammates - Craig Burgess, Jared Bent and Todd Burgess - earned the spot with a 7-4 win over CFB Halifax Curling Club's Mark Kehoe on Sunday morning.

The win put the local curlers with a 5-1 record and gave them the first of three spots available from this last chance qualifiers.

The Molson Coors Tankard provincial men's curling championships will be held at the Truro Curling Club from Bef. 5 to 10.

WOLFVILLE - Truro's Peter Burgess rink picked up its fourth win at the provincial curling qualifiers here Saturday night.

Burgess, along with mate Craig Burgess, second Jared Bent and lead Todd Burgess, downed Darmouth's Kevin Saccary 8-2 in seven ends.

The win puts Burgess and CFB Halifax Curling Club's Mark Kehoe both with a 4-1 record behind Mark Dacey of Mayflower in the standings.

Burgess is currently up 2-0 over Kehoe in four ends.
