Cougars undefeated at South Colchester senior hoops tournament

BROOKFIELD - The Cobequid Cougars junior varsity team posted a 3-0 record at the recent South Colchester Academy Invitational senior boys basketball tournament.

The Cougars defeated the host Wolves 81-63 before a 79-47 triumph over the Amherst Vikings junior varsity squad. Cobequid wrapped up the five-team event with a 78-40 victory over the North Colchester Mustangs.

The Wolves broke even, posting a 2-2 record. After falling to CEC, the Wolves defeated the Mustangs 68-50. On Day 2, SCA downed Amherst 64-52 and was edged 58-56 by the Carrefour Leopard from Dartmouth.

North Colchester went winless in three games.
