Truro's Burgess easily defeats Juurlink in provincial men's curling qualifier

Truro’s Peter Burgess suffered an 8-2 loss to John Luckhurst during afternoon provincial men’s curling action in Amherst on Saturday.

The qualifying event went in 10 rounds against the Mayflower Curling Club.

Truro’s Peter Burgess convincingly defeated Ian Juurlink 9-1 on Friday night at the provincial men’s curling qualifier at Amherst Curling Club.

The Burgess team includes third Craig Burgess, second Jared Bent and lead Todd Burgess. The competition went 10 ends against Juurlink’s Mayflower Curling Club team.

Burgess competes again today at 12:30 p.m. in Amherst against John Luckhurst, also from the Mayflower Curling Club.
