Black Cats go unbeaten in three midget hockey contests

TRURO – The Truro Black Cats were undefeated in their recent set of midget C hockey games.

The Black Cats upended the West Colchester Cobras 6-2 after battling to a 2-2 draw with Truro Orange. The Black Cats also blanked the Cobras 5-0 in an earlier tilt.

Brendan Collette buried a pair of goals for Truro in the 6-2 win, while Stephen Mallov, Alex Marchand, Nathan Caudle and Ryan Strickland added single markers. Callum Macpherson collected two assists.

Zack MacKinnon and Mallov handled the Black Cats’ scoring against Truro Orange. Chris Cameron and Macpherson chipped in assists.

Mallov pumped in three goals in the 5-0 victory while Hanbin Go and Tyler Wood rounded out the scoring.

Nathan Smith was in the Truro net in all three contests.
