BROOKFIELD – The Brookfield Elks doubled the Eastern Shore Mariners 6-3 Saturday in the Nova Scotia Junior Hockey League.
The Elks (12-8-1-1) move to within two points of the Mariners (13-10-2-0) for third place in the Fred Fox Division.
Geoff Burke led the Elks with a pair of goals while single tallies came from Devon Muir, James Shapleigh, Connor Baker and Nick Carroll. Muir, Lucas Dawe and Andrew Kennedy each collected a pair of assists.
Spencer Scott made 35 saves for the victory.
Tim Mannette, Tyler Somers and Cameron Lobban responded for Eastern Shore. Joe Hines made 22 stops.
