Dowe leads Taylor's to women's hockey victory over DQ

TRURO - Amanda Dowe scored two goals, including the winner late in the game, to lift the Taylor Auto Shooters to a 4-3 win over the Dairy Queen Blizzards Wednesday in the Colchester Women's Recreational Hockey League.

Vanessa Julien and Jessica Roberts scored other goals for the winners, while Sharon Paul, Jane Ogilvie and Julien had assists.

Rachel deVries netted a pair of goals for the Blizzards and Erin Crowell fired a single marker. Ashley Weatherbee had two assists and Leslie Evans had a single helper.

Marci Myers earned the win in nets.
