TRURO - The Truro Bearcats doubled the Bridgewater Lumberjacks 4-2 Saturday in the Maritime Junior Hockey League.
The Bearcats (19-3-0-1) hold onto top spot in the league with the victory while Bridgewater (6-8-0-1) lies in fifth in the EastLink Division. The contest attracted 425 fans to COlchester Legion Stadium.
It was Truro's second consecutive victory after the team dropped consecutive games for the first time all season a week earlier.
Tyler Morrison, Brandon Pye, Mike Richard and Dylan McGuigan did the scoring for Truro. Kyle Morrison chipped in a pair of assists and Tyler Morrison added a single helper.
Shayne Campbell made 27 saves for the win while Billy Clarke made 35 stops in the Bridgewater crease.
Josh Shatford and Michael Crawley scored for the Lumberjacks.
