Cougars split weekend set of high school hockey games

TRURO - The Cobequid Cougars split their pair of weekend high school boys hockey games.

The Cougars lost 5-4 to the North Nova Gryphons Sunday after doubling the Northumberland Nighthawks 4-2.

The results leave the Cougars with a 1-8-1 overall record this season.

Brady Davis, Austin Wheeler, Drew Smith and Patrick McNutt did the scoring for Cobequid Sunday. Matt Liang chipped in a pair of helpers with Wheeler and Davis adding singled.

Sebastien Gibson was in the net.

Kylar Frank, Richard MacNevin, Bradley Gallant and Wheeler provided goals against Northumberland. MacNevin recorded a pair of assists and Devon Holley picked up the victory.
