Bearcats top Hawks in battle of top minor midget squads

TRURO - The Truro MU Rhino Renovations Bearcats came out on top of a weekend showdown between the New Brunswick Midget AAA Hockey League's top squads.

The Bearcats defeated the Moncton Hawks 4-2 with goals from Kenny MacInnes and Nathaniel Legere, who each scored twice and added an assist.

Matt MacCallum was the winning goaltender.

The Bearcats are competing at the Monctonian tournament, the largest midget tournament in Canada, this weekend, opening Thursday against the Western Regals.
