Bearcat-of-the-week honours go to Truro captain Travis Moore.
In last Saturday's 5-4 win over Bridgewater, he led the offensive charge with two goals and an assist en route to being named the game's first star.
It was a typical Moore game, where he was Truro's best 200-foot player. Moore, Kyle Morrison and, last weekend, Daniel Perigo, constituted a threat each shift.
Moore got his start in the West Colchester minor hockey program before moving on to the South Colchester association, then to the Truro and area association, each time in search of higher calibre classifications. Following a pair of championship seasons with the Kwik Kopy bantam AAA Bearcats, he spent a solid year with the Pictou County major midgets. Now, in his fifth season as a Bearcat, he's doing everything he can to make his final junior season a winning one. When the campaign opened, he was 11th on the Bearcats all-time scoring list. Coming into this weekend, with nine goals and nine assists, he's moved up to eighth between Josh Boulton and Glen Frazee. His stats show 78 goals and 83 assists and counting.
