Boys volleyball Cougars earn silver in Charlottetown

TRURO - The Cobequid Cougars finished with the silver medal at the recent Wall of Fame Cup high school boys volleyball tournament in Charlottetown.

The Cougars fell to the Island's Westisle Wolverines 2-0 (25-19, 25-19) in the final.

Cobequid knocked off the Horton Griffins 2-1 (25-12, 12-25, 15-13) in the semifinal after sweeping Bluefield 2-0 (25-19, 25-15) in the quarterfinal.

The Cougars posted a 3-0 record in the round robin with wins over Three Oaks, Montague and Colonel Gray.

Harrison Callaghan recorded 15 aces and dished out 108 assists while Riley Tanner made six blocks.

The Cougars are competing at the Westisle Wolverines Classic this weekend.
