Truro hosts Metro in Junior Hockey League play

TRURO - The Truro Bearcats are home to the Metro Shipbuilders Saturday in Maritime Hockey League regular season action.

The Jr. A Bearcats were sporting a 6-0-0 record entering last night's contest against the host Yarmouth Mariners (8-1-0-0), good for third place in the Eastlink Division but holding five games in hand to the second-place Pictou County Weeks Crushers (6-4-1-0.

The Shipbuilders (1-8-0-1) sit in the Eastlink Division basement.

Game time against is 7:30 p.m. at the Colchester Legion Stadium.

Brandon Pye is the Bearcats leading scorer for this season with five goals six assists in six games.

Travis Moore and Jordan Coccimigilio have five goals each, with Moore adding five assists. Kyle Morrison leads the team in assists with eight in just four games.
