The Cougars were losing 7-3 to the Horton Griffins at the five-team Nova Scotia high school boys baseball championship here on Friday when the showers forced the contest to be halted after the fourth inning.
This came on the heels of a 19-2 morning loss to the Prince Andrew Panthers.
CEC will have a chance to turn things around when the game against Horton resumes Saturday at 9 a.m.
The winner advances to the semi-finals at 1 p.m. The final is scheduled for Stellarton at 3:30 p.m.
North Nova and Memorial round out the field.
