After a scoreless first period, Travis Moore opened the scoring at 2:49 to give the Bearcats a 1-0 lead in front of 628 fans at the Colchester Legion Stadium.
Adam Guy scored the game winner at 6:25 to extend the lead to 2-0 with Morrison and Morre assisting the play. Pye scored at 7:47 of a shot from Brandon McMartin and Cal Gloade to increase the lead to 3-0 after the second period.
In the third, Devan Gunn scored at 4:11 to get the Crushers on the scoreboard at 3-1.
Pye's second goal of the game came from Moore and Morrison on a powerplay at 5:13 to increase the lead to 4-1. Rounding out the scoring at 12:16, Pye scored his third goal, his second powerplay goal of the night, assisted by Morrison and Guy.
Truro went 2 for 7 on the powerplay while Pictou County went 0 for 3.
Shayne Campbell stopped 24 of 25 shots for the win while Dylan Frank stopped 29 of 34 shots in the loss.
The win brings the Bearcats' record to 6-0. They travel to Yarmouth on Friday to face the first-place Mariners.
