AAA Bearcats pick up win against East Hants

TRURO - Neil Smith scored a hat trick during the AAA Truro Bearcats 5-1 win over the East Hants Penguins here Friday night in the Early Bird Invitational tournament.

Adding goals to the board were Tristan Clark and Kenny MacInnes, with Brandon Archibald in nets.

The Bearcats opened the tournament with a scoreless tie Friday morning against Cole Harbour and will meet two-time defending champion Mid-Isle Matrix at 11:30 a.m. today.
