Blue Bombers win on association's 50th anniversary

TRURO - The Truro Blue Bombers provided plenty to celebrate about Saturday as the Truro Minor Football Association marked it's 50th anniversary at the TAAC Grounds.

The Blue Bombers blanked the Bedford Saints 8-0 to move to 2-1 in the Nova Scotia Peewee Football League.

Riley Carmichael made a 75-yard touchdown run and the Bombers made a two-point conversion for the victory. The Truro defence held the Saints at bay on the goal line in the fourth quarter.

The Bombers are back in action Saturday when the host the Dartmouth Destroyers at noon.
