DARTMOUTH - Travis Moore and Brandon Pye each scored two goals and added an assist as the Truro Bearcats romped to a 7-1 victory over the Metro Shipbuilders in the Maritime Junior Hockey League on Tuesday.

Jordan Cox, Jeff Hanes and Jordan Coccimigilio each added single markers for the Bearcats, who peppered Metro goaltender Anderson Snair with 41 shots.

Kyle Morrison, whom the Bearcats acquired from the Woodstock Slammers last weekend, was impressive in his debut with four assists, while Colby Lanceleve added a pair of helpers.

Kaden Ruest was the lone Metro player able to beat Bearcats rookie goaltender Jacob Fancy, who made 25 saves for his first MHL victory.

The Bearcats were 3-for-7 on the powerplay, while the Shipbuilders were 0-for-4.

The Bearcats (3-0) hit the road on Friday to play defending league champion Woodstock. Truro's home opener is Sept. 29 against the Campbellton Tigers.
