Trotters set for final breeder's crown qualifier at Inverness

TRURO - It'll come down to the wire to decide the top qualifiers for the Atlantic Breeders Crown in the two and three-year-old trotter divisions.

Both age groups take to the track Wednesday at Inverness Raceway in what will be the final race of the season before the breeder's crown championship weekend Oct. 6 and 7 at Charlottetown Driving Park. The top points-earners in each division move on to the championship showcase.

Post time for Wednesday's card is 7:30 p.m.

Both divisions have a pair of horses tied for the points lead after four previous meets.

Dusty Red Lane and Sweetwater Rukkus are atop the three-year-old class at 17 points apiece while My Daisy Duke is just one point behind in third.

The two-year-old group sees Im Graceful and Irish Lullaby knotted at 18 points each.
