Shoppers forces deciding game in mosquito baseball final

TRURO - The Bible Hill/Truro Mosquito Baseball League final is going to a third and deciding game.

Shoppers Drug Mart laid down a commanding 14-1 victory over the Bible Hill Kinsmen in Game 2 Thursday to knot the best-of-three 1-1.

Game 3 is Tuesday at 5:45 p.m. at Victoria Park.

Jack Somers led Shoppers going 3-for-3 with three RBI while Will Somers and Emma Somers were 2-for-2. Pitcher Ben Gibbon was also 2-for-2 while Darsey Pratt, Jayden Marriott and Seth Atkinson were all 2-for-3 as Shoppers pounded out 15 hits.

Thomas Vickers powered the Kinsmen offence, blasting a triple and knocking in the team's only run. Sam Archibald and Shawndelle Fancy also recorded hits.
