RIVERGLADE, N.B. - Enfield's Shawn Turple took a big step toward clinching the Parts For Trucks Pro Stock Tour championship Saturday with a win in the Irving Max1-150 at Petty International Raceway in Riverglade, N.B.

Turple took advantage of a restart with 14 laps remaining to grab the lead and never looked back. The points leader going into the event, Turple now has a 27-point cushion over Halifax's John Flemming, who crossed the line eighth after starting at the back of the field.

Jonathan Hicken is third, 48 points off the pace. He did not finish Saturday with mechanical issues.

Brad Eddy finished second Saturday, nipping Craig Slaunwhite in a photo finish.

The series wraps its schedule Sept. 8 with the Dartmouth Dodge 200 at Scotia Speedworld, Turple's home circuit.
