TRURO – Year 8 was a big one for the Cobequid Trail Run Sunday in Truro.
The event saw a record number of runners take part with 314 entries and a new course record set in the 5km class.
Logan Grant, an 18-year-old Antigonish resident, raised the bar in the 5km run in just the second year of the distance’s inclusion in the event, which takes runners along the Cobequid Trail from Truro to Old Barns. The start and finish of the run is located behind the Nova Scotia Community College campus.
More than 100 runners entered the 5km division with about 40 per cent of those entries coming from Colchester County.
