Rath scores pair to lead Charger Chicks

SALMON RIVER - Rae Rath netted two goals to lead Blaikies Charger Chicks to a 4-3 victory over Cook's Lawn Maintenance in recent Truro Women's Ball Hockey League action.

Heather Bourgeois and Kristan Brown also scored for Blaikies, while Brown, Rachel Place and Kathy Gate had assists.

Amy Jordan scored a pair of goals for Cook's, while Beth Greatoreux had a single marker and Melody Creelman had a helper.

Meanwhile, Leah MacLennan scored two goals and assisted on two others as S. Allen and Sons downed East End Mini Mart 7-3.

Miranda McMillan, Lesley Evans, Sarah Crossman, Erin Crowell and Rachel deVries also scored, while deVries, with two, McMillan and Jennie McLeod had assists.

Mary Archibald had two goals for the Mini Mart crew, while Stacey Webb added a single. Marissa Roode was the playmaker with three assists and Amanda Dowe had one helper.

Anitra Whidden earned the win in nets.
