Flyers, Shoppers meeting for all the marbles tonight

SALMON RIVER - The Tim Hortons Flyers and Shoppers Drug Mart will face off tonight in the Truro and Area Ball Hockey League atom division final.

The ball drops at Deuville's Rink at 7 p.m.

The Flyers forced the one-game showdown by posting a 3-1 victory on Monday to hand Shoppers its first loss in the double-elimination playoff format.

Ben Lauther had a goal and an assist for the Flyers, while Austin Southern and Brayden McNeil, with an empty netter, added other goals.

Riley MacInnis scored the lone goal for Shoppers, assisted by Jayden Marriott.

Noah Berniquer of the Flyers and Blake Terry of Shoppers both played stellar between the pipes.
