Shoppers, Pro Cresting get big mosquito baseball wins

TRURO - There were a pair of lopsided victories Thursday in the Bible Hill/Truro Mosquito Baseball League.

Shoppers Drug Mart blanked the Bible Hill Firemen 15-0 while Pro Cresting handed the Bible Hill Kinsmen a 14-4 setback.

Jayden Marriott paced Shoppers going 3-for-4 with a double while Clare Boudreau and Emma Somers were each 2-for-2. Jack Somers was 2-for-3 with a double and Darsey Pratt was the winning pitcher.

Connor Angers ripped a double for the Firemen.

For Pro Cresting, Kurtis Crawford and Nick Comeau both hammered a pair of doubles and a single while Mackenzie Matheson belted a pair of singles and a double. Luke Creelman tripled and singled and J.T. Thompson added a pair of singles. Other hits came from Tyler Mabey, Renee Bennett and Anthony MacNeil.

Thomas Vickers responded with a home run, triple and single for the Kinsmen while Zack Webb doubled and singled and Brooklyn Jordon hit a pair of singles. Shane Otterson and Austin Atkinson each doubled and Becca MacIsaac and Shawndelle Fancy both singled.
