Bearcats, Wildcats split senior baseball doubleheader

TRURO - The Truro Bearcats split their doubleheader Saturday with the Kentville Wildcats in the Nova Scotia Senior Baseball League.

The Bearcats dropped Game 2 10-3 after opening with an 8-1 victory.

The results leave the Bearcats last on the five-team circuit at 2-10, eight games behind the league-leading Wildcats (10-2).

Josh Fushtey claimed the Game 1 win while Adam Lombard tripled and singled and Jeff Chisholm doubled and singled.

Curtis Falls took the loss.

Chisholm was tagged with the loss in Game 2 and Dan Bates cracked a pair of doubles.

Kevin Nichols collected the win.
