Bearcats claim victory over Kentville in game two

TRURO – The Truro Bearcats had just one hit and lost 10 to 0 to the Kentville Wildcats on Saturday in game one of the Nova Scotia Senior Baseball League doubleheader.

The game on the TAAC grounds in Truro was called in the seventh inning due to the 10-run mercy rule.

The Bearcats rallied in game two winning the match 7 to 6.

Joe MacPherson launched a three-run double in the bottom of eight, Dan Bates claimed a solo homerun and two singles, while Jason Blois blasted a double and two singles, Troy Fisher had three singles and Jeff Chisholm grabbed two singles.

Truro bearcats current standings 2-9, Kentville Wildcats 9-2, in 11 games.
