TRURO - Brookfield's Tyler Medaglia posted a pair of solid finishes on the weekend in Round 4 of the Monster Energy Motocross Nationals at Castrol Raceway in Edmonton.
The 25-year-old Gopher Dunes Racing Honda rider crossed the line third in Moto 2 after opening the weekend with a fifth-place finish in the MX1 class for 450cc machines.
The results leave the two-time defending MX2 series champ fourth in the points standings with 142, just two-points behind Colton Facciotti in third. The pair went into the weekend tied in the standings but Faciotti used third and fourth-place finishes to gain the edge.
Leading Edge Kawasaki's Matt Goerke continued his domination of the series by winning both motos for a 28-point cushion over Rockstar/OTSFF Yamaha's Bobby Kiniry.
The series is entering a three-week break before resuming July 14 at Gopher Dunes Raceway in Courtland, Ont.
