The Tommies upset the No. 1 seed Mount St. Vincent Mystics 70-63 in overtime in Sunday's conference final at Holland College in Charlottetown.
Both the Tommies and Mystics advance to the Canadian Colleges Athletic Association championship March 15 to 17 at the NSAC. After a dismal season, the Rams surrendered their host berth last week in favour of it being given to the conference runner up.
The Mystics (21-0) finished the regular season atop the table while the Tommies (14-7) were second.
The Tommies also took the women's final with a 63-49 victory over the Mystics.
