TRURO - There's only one word to descried the CC Riders Under-12B girls soccer team – perfect.

The Riders capped a perfect season recently by nipping Pictou County 3-1 in the Highland Soccer League final in extra time. The victory came after sweeping through the tournament and posting an 11-0 record in the regular season.

Emma O'Neil struck the game winner while Karlee Burgess netted both extra-time tallies. The win gives the Riders a berth in the provincial championship in Lunenburg this weekend.

The Riders gave Antigonish an 8-1 thrashing in the league semifinal.
