Bearcats yet to surrender goal in junior A preseason

TRURO – The Truro Bearcats are 2-0 in the Maritime Junior Hockey League preseason.

The Bearcats blanked the Amherst Ramblers 2-0 at Colchester Legion Stadium Tuesday in their second game in two nights, leaving Truro yet to be scored upon so far in tune-up play.

Kirk Rafuse and Spencer Scott combined for the shutout. Rafuse stopped all 17 shots he faced while Scott made 13 saves.

Stephen Walker and Colin Beck did the scoring with assists coming from Adam Fraser, Cody Peveril, Colin MacKinnon and Aiden Manley.

The Bearcats are back in action Thursday when they travel to New Glasgow to take on the Pictou County Weeks Crushers.
