Riders sweep way to league title

TRURO - The CC Riders recently won the Under-14 Tier 2A Girls Highland Soccer League title with a sweep of the Antigonish Celtics.

The Riders took Game 2 of the two-leg final 4-2 after battling to a 0-0 draw in Game 1.

Chloe Lauther scored a pair of goals for the Riders while Traveen Singh and Kelly MacLellan chipped in single tallies. Adree Lynds was the goalkeeper in both games.

The Riders move on to represent the Highland region at provincials in Halifax this weekend.
