TRURO – The Colchester Harmony Grove Home Sales Cyclones swept their recent bantam girls hockey home-and-home series against Pictou County to finish league play.
The Cyclones downed Pictou 5-2 in Game 2 after opening with a 4-2 victory. The wins gave the Cyclones a league-leading 17-1-2 record and a bye into provincials March 19 in Bedford.
Haven Stevens lead the way with a hat trick in Game 2 with single markers coming from April MacKay and Caitlin McCavour. Jessica Johnson chipped in two assists while Jamie Forsyth, Madison Clarke, Mary Archibald, MacKay and McCavour added single helpers. Ashley Morrell was the winning goaltender.
In Game 1, Maddison Langille led the charge with a pair of goals while MacKay and Forsyth rounded out the scoring. Clarke, Lynds, McCavour, Archibald, Forsyth and Molly Wood collected assists. Jessie Pickard was in the Colchester net.
