Federal byelection called for Nov. 9

TRURO - Colchester County residents will have a new federal politician by mid November.

Four byelections, including Cumberland Colchester Musquodoboit Valley, were called Sunday by Prime Minister Stephen Harper.

Colchester residents will vote Monday, Nov. 9.

It seems everyone was expecting the call, which came out from the Prime Minister's Office at 11:30 a.m.

Before noon 10 signs for the Conservatives' candidate Scott Armstrong were up on Smith Avenue in Truro.
