To the editor,

(Re: Letter to the editor, Unplowed road delays arrival of paramedics, Truro Daily News, Feb. 4, Page 6.)

I recently received a phone call and an apology from a gentleman with Emergency Medical Services, and I therefore owe the Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal Department an apology.

After some investigation on Emergency Medical Services’ part they have concluded that their system failed on Thursday morning, Jan. 23. The department did not receive the necessary phone call to have Brule Shore Road plowed for the ambulance (to arrive at my home). I therefore would like the department employees to accept our sincere apologies.

I have been assured that changes will be made so that this does not happen again.
