To the editor,

On behalf of the Jamie Shephard Memorial Trust Fund Committee, I would like to thank all those who supported our annual Jamie Shephard Memorial Boxing Day Reunion at Keggars/The Loft.

The hundreds of people, ages 19 into their 70s, seemed to have a fun time reacquainting with old friends and stories.

Thanks to the loyal support of bar owner Derek Forsythe and staff, we were able to raise $3,900 from the event. These funds will be used mainly toward two Cobequid Educational Centre annual bursaries in memory of Jamie Shephard and Dewey Squires who were killed in a tragic car accident in 1986.

The annual reunion has raised close to $110,000 during 27 years. Jamie must be looking down with his big toothy grin and be very proud of what has been accomplished to date.

Thanks to all involved.
