To the editor,

I had the pleasure of serving with Warrant Officer Mike McNeil.

In case you have never seen the face of a Canadian hero or veteran, with nearly 25 years of service, with many overseas deployments to areas of the world that many of us would consider hell, take a good look at my brother in arms Warrant Officer Mike McNeil. The face of Canadian veterans has forever changed. No longer are they just the older folks who are nearing the end of their days on earth. They are young, fathers and mothers with many years left to live. So many of them come home after serving our country without the proper support to help ease themselves back into civilian life. Or help them even get back to a peaceful life of living on a base after what they have been through. It's time we stop letting these folks down, and their families down. We need to give them the proper support they all deserve. RIP old friend, I hope you have found peace.
