To the editor,
We, the residents of Wynn Park, a residential park for seniors, have become very frustrated with the increased flow of traffic at the McClure’s Mills Connector Road.
We suspect that the opening of the Colchester East Hants Health Centre and the Rath Eastlink Community Centre are adding to an already congested traffic flow.
It is not unusual at time for traffic to be stopped from Willow Street back to the Wade Road intersection and beyond. The corner of Lower Truro Road and the McClure’s Mills Connector is both dangerous and frustrating for area residents.
We are over 100 residents within our park area alone, not to mention the residents of Wynn Road and Lower Truro Road, and for all of us attempting to turn left at that intersection from the Lower Truro Road can be problematic to put it mildly.
We strongly urge Truro town council to establish traffic lights in this area. If you have an alternative solution, we would certainly appreciate hearing about it.
