Valdy still has what it takes

The show was sold out and justifiably so. The Marigold Cultural Centre presented Canadian icon Valdy (Feb.6, 2008).
He played to the packed house as he would to a room of close friends, with a level of comfort that resonated in his extremely adept guitar playing and singing, as well as in the laughter and applause of his captivated audience.
It had been years since I had the pleasure of seeing Valdy live and he has not faded with time. His songs, even the old ones, are fresh and his artistry is crystalline and beautifully human and capable of warming the hearts and minds of those who hear.
