Barkhouse will be missed

I am writing in regards to the incident in Truro that has resulted in announcer Harold Barkhouse giving up his job after being shoved by Amherst Rambler Travis Turner, after MJAHL president Deryl Smith decided no suspension was necessary.
I am commenting as a fan of the game and friend of Harold Barkhouse, knowing him since East Hants Junior A and senior Penguins days.
I normally wouldn't comment on this but Harold will be hugely missed and was an icon in the Truro rink. I am saddened that such inaction by the league has resulted in Mr. Barkhouse ending his announcing duties.
I think before you had come to a decision you should have both sides, from Mr Barkhouse and see the video. Then I believe you would have had a different opinion.
Sure, it was out of character by Turner, whom I have interviewed and talked to before, but a message has to be sent or players will know they will get away scott free.
But instead the league president decided no punishment was needed and let the team do it internally, which won't be as effective as rendering a decision would be.
I am very unhappy that the president came to a no-action-needed decision.
