Where did our $40 go to register our snowmobiles and four-wheelers?
As far as I can see, it went to Nina Paper to pay a company to plow one of the main trails from Belmont Mountain to Farm Lake to Tatamagouche.
If that is the idea of trail maintenance, give us our $40 back plus all the money that was paid for trail passes.
While I am wasting ink, I would like to mention the genius who works for the Department of Natural Resources going on a few weeks back about the effect a few wind turbines would have on the moose population across the Cobequid Mountains.
Maybe this genius should go to the Debert Flying Club, rent a plane, and fly across the Cobequid Mountains - if he has any idea where they are.
I am sure all you will see is clearcut chopping for miles and miles; thanks again to Nina Paper. There could be no more harder effect on the moose population than woods machines working seven days a week, 24 hours a day, cutting their habitat down.
Maybe some of the DNR geniuses should start thinking with the end they shove the food in instead of the end they blow the food out.
