Truro’s 185 Navy League Cadet Corps CPO James Carroll took part in the Exhibition Parade held on Aug. 18.
Cadets and volunteers from the corps led the parade through downtown Truro and into Bible Hill, eventually ending at the Nova Scotia Provincial Exhibition grounds.
Many spectators along the parade route broke into applause as the young cadets marched passed.
This was the corps’ first time participating in the parade and the children and volunteers were all very pleased with the event as a whole.
The Navy League Cadet Corps is a free program open to youth ages nine to 12. Registration for the 2013/14 year will be held on Monday, Sept. 16 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Truro Armouries.
