Westville woman charged with animal cruelty in seizure of her 21 dogs

NEW GLASGOW - A Nova Scotia woman whose 21 dogs were seized by the SPCA last fall has been officially charged with animal cruelty.
Janice Bingley of Westville is charged with causing or permitting an animal to be, or continue to be, in distress.
The owner is accused of not providing proper care and medical attention for the animals.
One of the dogs was described as emaciated when seized.
Bingley will be arraigned in New Glasgow provincial court on Feb. 22.
