TRURO - A candidates' forum featuring topics of interest to area youth will take place in Truro tonight.

Colchester/Truro Next Generation will host a candidates' forum with the five federal candidates running in the Cumberland-Colchester-Musquodoboit Valley federal election. The live, online streaming video debate will take place at 6 p.m. Candidates will be answering questions from the Nova Scotia Community College Truro Campus for about 90 minutes.

Quinn McCarthy, chairman of Colchester/Truro Next Generation and event moderator, said the younger generation has valid concerns that should be addressed in the upcoming election.

"As a group representing the next generation, we are proud to take an active role in the political process," said McCarthy.

To participate, questions will be taken via the Colchester/Truro Next Generation website, email and Facebook page. The link to the debate is available at http://colchesternext.webs.com

Questions will be taken live via the group's website forum page and email at ColchesterNext@gmail.com. Questions may also be submitted prior to the debate.
