TRURO - Almost 3,400 people have already cast their ballot for Cumberland Colchester Musquodoboit Valley's next member of Parliament.
Elections Canada says 3,397 people voted in the advanced polls during the past week. With 68,118 eligible voters on the revised voters list, the result represents about five per cent of the eligible voters.
The turnout is down from the advance poll last October during the 40th general election when 3,726 people voted in advance polls.
The Nova Scotia riding had the most votes cast of the four byelections being held across the country.
Voters go to the polls on Monday to elect their new federal representative.

We went and voted at the advanced poll as we usually do. It was busier than I ever remember it being. Hopefully there will be a decent voter turnout this time so the people really can have their say.
