WINDSOR - A former Onslow man to be sentenced for child pornography and luring next month is now facing more charges.

Donald Kevin Huntley, 52, of Chilliwack, B.C., is now charged with sexual assault, sexual touching involving a person under the age of 16, and unlawful confinement. The charges stem from incidents alleged to have occurred in East Uniacke between Jan. 1, 1997 and April 30, 1997.

The accused was not present in Windsor provincial court on Aug. 19. The matters have been adjourned to Sept. 8 for election and plea. The court imposed a publication ban to protect the identity of the complainant.

Huntley is scheduled for sentencing on Sept. 8 on charges of accessing child pornography and luring a child under age 16 for the purpose of facilitating an offence, invitation to sexual touching.

Huntley elected trial by Supreme Court judge only in January 2012 and was committed to stand trial on the charges following a preliminary inquiry in June of last year. However, he re-elected provincial court in October, waived the re-election address and pleaded guilty to the two charges.

The charges stemmed from incidents that occurred in Windsor between June 1 and July 14, 2011.

Following the preliminary inquiry in June 2012, Huntley was also committed to stand trial on charges of sexual touching involving a person under age 16; invitation to sexual touching involving a person under age 16 and sexual assault. Huntley re-elected to provincial court on these charges in October. These matters have been adjourned to Sept. 8 for election and plea. The charges stem from incidents alleged to have occurred in Windsor between May 28 and July 14, 2011 and on June 18, 2011.

Huntley is also charged with committing a sexual assault on a young person in Colchester County between July 31 and Sept. 1, 2006 and with failing to comply with his recognizance in Abbotsford, B.C., between Aug. 1 and Oct. 3, 2012.

As reported by the Winnipeg Free Press in August 2013, the Abbotsford charge stems from Huntley allegedly befriending a 14-year-old boy while there in 2012.

A Morris, Man., woman's curiosity about a new tenant and why he was chatting up little boys led to the discovery that Huntley was a suspected child sex offender facing trial in Nova Scotia and barred from having contact with kids as part of his release conditions.

Huntley was arrested by RCMP in Morris in June 2013 and ended up being sentenced to 90 days in jail for breaching conditions of his release orders.

Huntley admitted he spoke with two Morris boys on June 21 and 22, 2013 while prohibited from doing so and for failing to notify police in Nova Scotia he had changed his address.
