God’s Backyard: By the Sea

Moby the robot presentation

AUG. 5 – Truro library. 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. For ages three to 12. Meet Moby, the recycling robot. Registration starts July 29. Call the library at 895-1625 to register. 

Truro Al-Anon

AUG. 5 – Meets every Tuesday. 8 p.m. Truro Farmers’ Market, Young Street. For more information, call Lois at 893-8060.

AUG. 6 – Salmon River fire hall. Each Wednesday in August. 8:30 p.m. Shared lunch and music by Countrified and others.

Cobequid Al-Anon

Summer Jammin’

AUG. 7  - Hidden Hilltop Family Campground, Glenholme, starting at 6:30 p.m., Sponsored by the Hidden Hilltop Campers Association.

Drop-in knit, crochet group

AUG. 7 – Truro library. 3 to 4:30 p.m. Bring yarn and needles. Patterns and written instructions will be available. For ages eight and older.

Open door prayer for the community

AUG. 8 – First Baptist Church, Prince Street, Truro. 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Offering personal prayer for people in the community. Wheelchair accessible to the church’s sanctuary.
