TRURO – Families requiring assistance through the Back to School Campaign have limited time to get involved.
The Back to School Campaign is heading into its final days. Aug. 12 is the deadline for needed donations as well as to register for the program.
Families who could benefit from a Back to School essentials kit can register for the program by calling United Way of Colchester County at 895-9313.
Donated supplies may be dropped off throughout the day at United Way, the Truro library and Maggie’s Place, all on Prince Street, Staples and the Truro Mall on Robie Street, and the Rath Eastlink Community Center on Abenaki Road.
To make a cash donation drop into the United Way of Colchester County or log onto the gift catalogue at http://www.colchester.unitedway.ca/gift-catalog/ to donate using a credit card.
Last summer, 350 students headed back to school prepared needed school supplies thanks to the initiative.
